On Nancy Pelosi's graph of recession job loss, if the green line were a waterslide, you'd die by wedgie
The Speaker of the House has a blog where he's graphed just how deep we are sinking into a bottomless well of feces. She has a chart comparing job loss in the 1999 and 2001 recessions compared to this one.
Basically, if we were at a waterpark and your friend asked you to plumet down a slide as steep as the green one you'd either smartly refuse or get a wedgie so far up your crack that you'd feel your swim suit split your head in two.
People, we're screwed.
Pelosi quoted Obama:
We can’t embrace the losing formula that says only tax cuts will work for every problem we face; that ignores critical challenges like our addiction to foreign oil, or the soaring cost of health care, or falling schools and crumbling bridges and roads and levees. I don’t care whether you’re driving a hybrid or an SUV — if you’re headed for a cliff, you’ve got to change direction.
Let's get our parachutes people. The whole beast is tanking and many are going to die--stimulus package or not! A wedgie this fierce could kill us all.

Are you a stupid ass or what? There is a difference between graphing data as a percentage vs. absolute. For example, if there were 100 people working in 1980 and 10% were laid off, you would graph the data point at 10 (people). If there were 200 people working in 2009 and 10% were laid off, you would graph the data point at 20 (people). This would be an absolute plot and it would make 2009 look much worse (twice as bad) as 1980, even though they are exactly the same percentage loss. Get it?
Pelosi is a brainless turd, and so are you for believing her misrepresented data,
