Animal Liberation Front Publishes Annual Report Documenting Arson, Graffiti, Bombs, and Animal Liberation Efforts

The North American Animal Liberation Press Office has published a report covering 2008 actions, a discussion of future directions, and a section on prisoners and snitches.

From letter bombs sent to John Hopkins, Poultry shop windows smashed, banners dropped, Slaughterhouse trucks burned, dogs and rabbits liberated, computers hacked, trucks sabotaged, and a Leather Expo burned to the ground, the Animal Liberation Front has had an active of year of direct action.

16% of ALF's actions were animal liberation, 11% bombs, arson and incendiary devices, and 73% graffiti, glued locks, and sabotage.

Between Canada, the U.S., and Mexico, Mexico has the greatest number of actions.

The number and ferocity of actions against animal exploitation industries is a testament to the passion these activists feel for those creatures who cannot defend themselves. Congratulations to the good folks at the Press Office who continue to do the important work of documenting and communicating the workings of the Animal Liberation movement.

"Kill Coyotes!" Votes Greenwood Village, CO City Council

According to the Denver Post:

A war against coyotes in the Denver metro area has begun with Greenwood Village firing the first shots.

Greenwood Village's City Council, in a special session Thursday, approved limited shooting of coyotes in public areas of the city, including parks, greenbelts and watersheds.

The council passed an ordinance allowing a contractor, Animal Damage Control Wildlife Management Services, to fatally shoot coyotes.

We live in a country where coyotes are considered more dangerous than people with guns.

When defenseless animals whose habitats have been converted to concrete by human species are simply trying to live, what is the appropriate response ethical people should have to their senseless slaughter? What lengths should we go to save animals lives? If you were a defenseless animal whose family had been shot, what would you want done to those who killed your family? What responsibility do able people have to carry out the will of the defenseless?

The Animal Liberation Front would argue by any means necessary.

Sex, Drugs, and Environmental Destruction

Between having cocaine delivered to the office and oral sex with subordinates, the over-partied leadership of the Department of the Interior has taken the U.S. government's impulse to fuck up to a whole new level. These creeps who brag about protecting our natural resources have been taking bribes, doing drugs, and having sex with big oil reps. In the meantime, our environment gets screwed.

Now correct me if I'm wrong, but I think its just creepy that the Department of the Interior would have any desire to do it with people who work at Chevron, Shell, and other nasty energy companies. I can imagine a lot of kinky fantasies, but sleeping with those slimy creeps takes the cake.

This is why any day of the week I'd prefer to do it with the black-clad, sweaty arm-pit lovers in the Earth and Animal Liberation Fronts than entertain the idea that electoral politics in this corrupt capitalist system will every be more than an orgy of ecological destruction lubricated by big oil. Unfortunately, all these eco-types are stuck fighting this corrupt system and can't just sit around doin' it. Somebody has to protect the "interior" and the tasteless, powder-noses in the government sure as shit won't.
